Moon Nova CD PlayerBased on the world renown MOON Eclipse CD Player, the MOON Nova delivers "audiophile" performance in a more affordable package with an internal up sampling rate that features 24-bit/352.8kHz processing. The MOON Nova is intended as a companion source component for the MOON i-5 integrated amplifier. Alternatively, it will provide superior performance when paired with virtually any other integrated amplifier or preamplifier available. Moon i-5 Integrated AmplifierThe MOON i-5 integrated amplifier combines numerous technologies found in Simaudio MOON separate components, such as our proprietary "Advanced Renaissance" amplifier technology which eliminates feedback; a pre-amplification section using "Class A" dual-mono circuit topology and extremely rigid extruded aluminum chassis construction. The MOON i-5 delivers reference level performance in a much smaller format. Features include remote control operation, 70 watts per channel of high current output into 8 ohms, a "home theater ready" input and a preamplifier output. Finish: Available in black or silver. Significant Design Features: An oversized power supply · A custom proprietary toroidal transformer design with lower magnetic, electrical and thermal loss, yielding an improved power transfer and lower regulation factor, resulting in increased current speed and better dynamics · An extremely short capacitor-free signal path measuring only 15 inches in length from input RCA's to output binding posts, eliminating virtually all potential sources of interference and producing a sonically faster transient response · Amplifier section using a "no overall feedback" design resulting in real-time amplification, more accurate musical reproduction with respect to tonality, virtually non-existent IMD (intermodulation distortion) and the elimination of common phase errors resulting from feedback · Gain section using a Crystal microprocessor functioning as a "shunt to ground" that doesn't degrade sonic performance regardless of the selected setting · "Class A" output power to five watts for greater efficiency · One single-ended audio input which bypasses the gain control stage to accommodate a component, such as home-theatre processor, whose own volume control is used instead · Precision matched Bipolar output devices which offer superb linearity throughout the entire audio frequency spectrum · Accurate matching of the very finest high quality electronic components · A symmetrical circuit design · Pure copper circuit board tracings with extremely low impedance characteristics · Extremely rigid chassis construction to minimize the effects of external vibrations · Improved reliability through the elimination of moving parts · Designed to be powered up at all times for optimal performance. |
