Of course it includes a full array of convenient features, such as advance programming for up to 20 tracks, programmable repeat, and remote control of all the key functions. A co-axial Digital Output permits future upgrade, such as the addition of an outboard D/A converter unit. Monrio MC207 Integrated AmplifierThe Monrio MC 207 is renowned for excellent sound purity and impeccable quality, featuring latest circuit topology and top-notch materials. Sound quality has reached an even higher level than before, presenting a superbly matched blend of performance, features and musicality. The circuitry of the MC 207 is divided between two circuit boards. The main board carries the output stage and the power supply whilst the sub-board carries the low-level audio stage, while the power transistors used in the output stage have been specially designed for audio applications. By connecting these devices in a quasi-complementary (all transistors used are of NPN type) configuration, the MC 207 delivers a high-quality power output capabilities rated for 80 watts into 8 ohms and 138 watts into 4 ohms. This arrangement of high-current power transistors allowing the amplifier to drive even very low impedance loads. A Direct Input allows a direct input of the audio signal for example from an A/V Processor so that the MC 207 can be used in a multi-channel system as the amplifier for the front stereo channels, or for the Surround channels. For source selection, every possible effort has been made to isolate the signal from the control circuit. All switching is performed by logic-controlled relays arranged in an optimised layout. The hermetically sealed relays are high-quality types developed specifically for demanding communication applications. The contacts are gold overlay silver alloy, high reliability-bifurcated for minimum contact resistance and outstanding long-term reliability. The amplifier’s main circuitry is 100% dual mono construction for maximum channel-to-channel isolation. The MC 207 features two 200 VA power transformers and eight large electrolytic capacitors rated for 10.000uF each. This assures ample reserves also for reproduction of demanding bass passages. |
